Escape to this stunning private beach retreat located in the gated Seacliff community! Wildwood is an eclectic, wood inspired (cabin-esque you could say), beach house with everything you need to escape into a California beachfront vacation. Put down the iPad (unless you bring the kiddos) and pick up a book with your toes in the sand.

The first floor of Wildwood has a great family living space all facing the deck, private sandy front yard and ocean. The kitchen, dining and living room with great stone fireplace are open concept living where you will want to spend your indoor relaxation time, whether it be summer lounging or fireside in the winter. The kitchen is complete with a Viking stove, SubZero refrigerator, breakfast bar and plenty of room for cooking. The living and dining space is great for socializing the relaxing with a huge collection of books and CD’s to enjoy! Downstairs, the first bedroom is a cozy space with Queen bed and adjoining bathroom. The second bedroom is a large open room for the kiddos including 2 twin beds and a full. There is also a full bathroom and laundry room.

As you roam upstairs you will find a large bedroom with a queen bed and a great reading nook complete an ocean view and books on books on books! Another bedroom is situated across the hall with a queen bed styled out with great eclectic quilts and rugs and more books as well as an ocean view nook. There is a shared full bathroom upstairs as well as a great little movie watchin’ escape space with a loungy couch, TV, DVD and VHS player and tapes (we like our old school movies!).

The home is designed around one of the largest oceanfront outdoor living areas on the coast. The large beachfront area is a great mix of hardwood deck and private sand with plenty of room to lounge. Beach and surf access is a short distance across steps over protective rocks. The main beach can be a combination of sand, rock, high and low tides, mixed with some great intermediate surfing and ocean activities. “Hobson’s” is a great wave right out front for long or shortboarding depending on the swell. Surf, paddle, fish, tide pool hunt just out front of Wildwood!

Seacliff Beach Colony is located off Pacific Coast Highway just north of Ventura’s Faria Beach and just south of Carpinteria’s Mussel Shoals Beach. The road is private and great for kids to ride bikes. It is a private gated community nestled in between the mountains and the sea. The area is perfect for surfing, kayaking, snorkeling, boogie boarding or just to enjoy long walks on the beach, hunting for shells, rocks and sea glass. While this beach is known for dolphins feeding and riding waves on a daily bases, whales can even be spotted during their migration. The sunrises and sunsets are exceptional and the Channel Islands are visible offshore. With just steps to the beach, you will be able to explore one of California’s most unique and beautiful beaches.

Right outside your front door is a coastal bike path that takes you to Santa Barbara, Carpinteria, Ventura and Ojai. Faria is right next to Solimar and Sea Cliff communities.

About

“This is a slice of paradise,” said Doris Haisler, a resident of the tiny community since 1952. Hidden in a lonely corner of northern Ventura County, Seacliff is a private strip of 49 homes along Rincon Beach Park Drive. Seacliff is a marine sanctuary with exposed tide pools, constant sand flows, and some of the most dynamic marine environments along the California coast. Here, the ocean is your playground and your backyard! The area is perfect for surfing, kayaking, snorkeling, boogie boarding or just to enjoy long walks on the beach, hunting for shells, rocks and sea glass. Whales can even be spotted during their migration. The sunrises and sunsets are exceptional and the Channel Islands are visible offshore. With just steps to the beach, you will be able to explore one of California’s most unique and beautiful beaches.

Note : access to sandy beach is on low tide where you can walk for miles to the south.
